Product Information

Andy Warhol (1923 – 1987) loved cats, creating numerous paintings of them until he began his Pop Art series of soup cans, Coke bottles and Marilyn Monroe silkscreens. As a cat owner, he published a book of 25 cat portraits in which all but one of the felines were named Sam. The artworks were based on the images of famed cat photographer Walter Chandoha, rather than Warhol’s own felines.

Cat From 25 Cats by Andy Warhol, printed in 2000, published by Te neues Publishing in Kempen, Germany. Out-of-print, very few copies are still available.
