    Product Information

Arguably the most famous image in the art world, “Mona Lisa” was painted by Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) in 1507.  Also known as “La Giaconda” referring to the last name of the model who posed for the painting, it is analyzed for its beauty, technique and style, but it is perhaps most famous for the enigmatic look and smile on Mona Lisa’s face.  Her expression and the meaning behind it have survived for 500 years as one of the greatest mysteries in art history.

This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability. Art prints are created on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card using an offset lithography press.

    About the Artist

Leonardo Da Vinci (1452 – 1519) was a Renaissance Master whose genius also profoundly impacted mathematics and the sciences. Insatiably curious and inventive, Da Vinci possessed unparalleled intellectual diversity. While scientifically studying light and shadow, he was able to conceptualize three dimensions and used the knowledge to impart his figures with their revolutionary lifelike quality. His works also reflected his insight into techniques for expressing atmosphere, depth, and the effects of age and emotion.
