About the Artist

Diane Romanello creates paintings that are like gateways to idealized beaches, gardens, lakes and country hideaways. Self-taught, Romanello wants viewers to feel that they can step into her Romantic Realist world of soft, glistening colors and luxurious textures. Originally a gallery owner, Romanello created her own abstract and Impressionist artwork to match clients’ furniture, and later painted scenes of New York in winter. Romanello’s enticing fusion of fantasy and realism is now featured in nearly 100 works.
